Ep. 94 As many of you may not know, my family went into this Thanksgiving holiday a bit on edge this year as my niece was hospitalized with a life-threatening diagnosis. We were originally told that she may not make it or may be in an unstable condition for up to a year of recovery. In this time of remorse and emotional highs, my unorthodox family came together in ways we haven't before - forgiving, forgetting, letting things go, and rallying around one another in support of my niece. The real questions is, in the midst of all of our family problems and our interesting past, why does it always seem to take something catastrophic to happen for families to begin to repair? I invite people to not wait for a devastating wake up call to feel blessed, have joy in your heart, and understand that life is truly a blessing. We must push forward in who we can be and strive to be more than we were yesterday because we are not promised tomorrow.
